Sofia wasn’t designed at a desk by people guessing how property sales work. It came out of 28 years of real operating experience, from someone who ran sales in this sector himself.
“I have spent most of my working life in this industry, and I have watched it grow up. The construction got better. The financing got better. The product got better. One gap remained, and it is this — a complete sales operation, in which everyone from the salesperson to the stakeholders of the company works in a single flow and gets the best output from it.
Real estate sales runs on memory and relationships. A monthly target is a number. Turning that number into something real takes capable people, and it takes transparency and accountability in equal measure.
I do not say this as criticism. This is how the industry was built, and for many years nobody really worked on this gap. Buyers today are far more aware. Before they sign a document, before they take a decision, they make enquiries and check what a company is actually doing. A company that does not know the details of its own sales operation will not get the sales it hoped for — and that is only natural.
Software has come into this industry before. But the difference between an ERP and a CRM is a large one, and a complicated one. An ERP works off some manual input and some numbers; a SaaS platform of this kind is a complete system.
I have been through Sofia. It has been built by someone who ran these operations himself and knows where the real problems are. Through Sofia there is now, perhaps, an opportunity to fill a gap this industry has carried.
Kazi Manzur Ahmed worked with me at bti while I was the Managing Director and he was the Executive Director. He was the kind of operator who wanted to know what was actually true rather than what was comfortable to report, and who would ask the awkward question to get there. What he has built reflects that.
I would say one thing to any company considering it. A system like this will show you things about your own operation that you may not enjoy seeing, and it is only worth having if you are prepared to act on what it shows. If you simply want the monthly report to be easier to produce, there are cheaper ways. If you want to know what is actually happening on your sales floor, this is worth your time.
For Sofia the SaaS, and for Manzur, I wish both a successful journey.”

Kazi Manzur Ahmed has spent more than 28 years working directly across IT, supply chain, real estate, and commercial sales operations in Bangladesh and abroad. In senior leadership positions such as Executive Director, Chief Business Officer, and CEO, he has led sales, marketing, and customer operations directly for some of the country’s largest real estate organizations.
So the problems Sofia set out to solve aren’t theoretical to him. He watched them play out, year after year, himself.
An agent would leave, and the customer’s entire history seemed to leave with him. A lead would move from one person to another, and every earlier conversation, follow-up, sign of interest, and site visit lost its clear continuity. A salesperson would say a site visit happened, but there was no reliable way to independently verify it. And at month-end, the target was missed.
Then the same conversation would start every time — more supervision needed, more pressure needed, tighter targets, more accountability from salespeople. But facing the same problem year after year made one thing clear —
Not every sales problem is a people problem.
Often, people were doing their jobs just fine. The problem was that the whole sales operation was built in a way that good work didn’t get properly captured — and where things were going wrong didn’t surface in time either.
An agent’s work history disappears along with him. A lead’s journey turns unclear halfway through. A site visit’s truth rests on nothing but one person’s word. And a salesperson’s performance rating often stands on perception instead of actual recorded activity.
That’s where the idea for Sofia came from. Not to supervise people more closely — to hold the sales pipeline together properly.
A lead’s history survives even when the salesperson changes. Reassigning a lead doesn’t cost it its journey. A site visit gets verified with GPS, a photo, and the client’s own WhatsApp or SMS confirmation. And a performance rating doesn’t rest on a manager’s impression alone — it’s backed by a measurable score built from recorded activity.
Sofia wasn’t a generic sales tool later tweaked for real estate. It was built out of these exact problems inside a real estate sales operation. Sofia started from the experience of someone who did this job for years, saw these problems firsthand, and kept hitting the same wall.
Because in the end, the question shouldn’t be “how good are our salespeople?” The question should be “can our system actually hold onto their work?”
Sofia isn’t just a CRM — it’s a sales engine built to help your team perform. Nine purpose-built role dashboards, site visits verified with GPS, a photo, and the client’s own WhatsApp or SMS confirmation, 40+ built-in reports, and a real calculated score behind every performance rating — none of this is a slogan, all of it is live in the system today.
